What information is being collected and why?

This website collects and uses personal information for the following reasons:

Site visitation tracking

Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.

Although GA records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to us. GA also records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you but Google do not grant us access to this. We consider Google to be a third party data processor. GA makes use of cookies, details of which can be found on Google’s developer guides.

Disabling cookies on your internet browser will stop GA from tracking any part of your visit to pages within this website.

Contact forms and email links

Should you choose to contact us using the contact form on our Contact us page or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail, none of the data that you supply will be stored by this website or passed to / be processed by any of the third party data processors. Instead the data will be collated into an email and sent to us over the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) meaning that the email content is encrypted using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography before being sent across the internet. The email content is then decrypted by our local computers and devices.

The personal information you provide may include your name, e-mail address and telephone number as well as other information about yourself to enable us to provide you with our services. If you are asked to give personal information by us, such as for example your name, address or phone number, you will be given an opportunity to consent to how your data is used.

When you give us information about another person, you confirm that they have appointed you to act for them and to consent to the processing of their personal data.

We will with your consent use your data for marketing purposes and to provide you with information on our products or services. We will not pass your information to other companies or organisations. Where you supply us your personal information, we will tell you what we plan to do with your information.

You may exercise your right to have your personal data removed from our online and offline records at any time by contacting us at info@matthillcoachtrimming.com or by the methods explained at the end of this notice.

You have a right to ask for a copy of your information and to correct any inaccuracies.

More about our Cookies

Third party functions

Our site, like most websites, includes functionality provided by third parties. A common example is an embedded YouTube video, or a Google Map.

Disabling these cookies will likely break the functions offered by these third parties.

Anonymous Visitor Statistics Cookies

We use cookies to compile visitor statistics such as how many people have visited our website, what type of technology they are using (e.g. Mac or Windows which helps to identify when our site isn't working as it should for particular technologies), how long they spend on the site, what page they look at etc. This helps us to continuously improve our website. These so called 'analytics' programs also tell us, on an anonymous basis, how people reached this site (e.g. from a search engine) and whether they have been here before helping us to put more money into developing our services for you instead of marketing spend.

Turning Cookies Off

You can usually switch cookies off by adjusting your browser settings to stop it from accepting cookies. Doing so however will likely limit the functionality of our's and a large proportion of the world's websites as cookies are a standard part of most modern websites.

It may be that your concerns around cookies relate to so called "spyware". Rather than switching off cookies in your browser you may find that anti-spyware softwareachieves the same objective by automatically deleting cookies considered to be invasive.
